Part of a peaceful courtyard community of holiday huts, this south-facing cottage is less than a mile from the Cornwall coast. The cove contains a small sheltered harbour that protects the fishing boats that dock there, sandy patches of beach and a great cave to explore at low tide. A delightful base for exploring the sandy coastline Lizard Peninsula.

Snuggle into the sofas with a good book or perch outside on the patio to watch the sunrise and the sky turn blue. The interior of this bungalow has been decorated in a calming neutral palette, allowing a soothing atmosphere to flood the house and provide that holiday feeling. Pour yourself a fresh glass of orange juice and join the family for a full-English while you lay out your plans for the day.

A clifftop walk runs past the cove and extends for miles in either direction. Head south, down to the turquoise waters of pretty Kynance Cove (8 miles) or gaze out to sea from the most southerly spot of mainland Britain: Lizards Point, 7 miles away. North of Mullion’s Cove you can sink your feet into the soft white sand of Praa Sands (13 miles) or wander across the causeway to St Michaels Mount (18 miles).
