This rural cottage sits within the picturesque valley of Luccombe Chine, close to the bustling seaside resorts of Ventnor (8.5 miles) and Shanklin (3 miles). The property sleeps six guests and is perfect for families and groups of friends looking to explore the sandy beaches and pretty coastal walks along the Isle of Wight's east coast. In the evenings, enjoy family BBQs on one of the cottage's two terraces.

The cottage is reached via a private road and enjoys a peaceful setting overlooking the surrounding valley. Inside, the property is decorated in calming, neutral tones and you'll notice little nautical touches in the soft furnishings and accessories. A welcoming lounge offers a relaxing space to unwind after a long walk, with comfortable seating set around a TV/DVD. Bi-fold doors lead from here to a bright conservatory with far-reaching views. Whip up tasty meals for the group in the stylish kitchen, which you can share together in the characterful dining room. The three inviting bedrooms are upstairs, one of which is a cute children's bunk bedroom. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. French doors lead from the conservatory to the front terrace, which has outdoor furniture, a BBQ, and fabulous rural views. You'll also have access to a private, fenced garden beyond the adjoining cottage. There is an additional terrace here – accessed via steps – offering an alternative spot for al fresco dining, along with a lawn for playing outdoor games.

Shanklin is a traditional seaside resort, with amusement arcades, gift shops, and a great range of eateries. Potter around the charming Old Village, with its idyllic thatched cottages, before following the tree-lined Shanklin Chine down to the sandy beach and esplanade. The bustling coastal town of Ventnor also has plenty to see and do, with a delightful sand and shingle beach and beautiful botanic gardens, as well as delicious fish and chip shops and ice cream parlours.
