Charlestown is just a mile away, and is home to a picturesque harbour, which has recently featured in TV's Poldark. Local attractions include the Hidden Valley Gardens, the Wingz Bird and Animal Sanctuary and the Charlestown Shipwreck Centre. The thriving town of St Austell is a mile away, and the famous Eden Project is also nearby (4 miles), as are the Lost Gardens of Heligan (7 miles) and Lanhydrock (10 miles). Along the coast are the picture-postcard seaside towns of Fowey (8 miles) and Mevagissey (7 miles).
