Perched on its own little hillock, this cosy cottage is perfect for small families, with a large grassy garden edged by a burn and superb panoramic sea views.

The house is arranged on one level, with rooms leading off a central hallway where there's plenty of space to hang coats and leave bags. On wet days or after a good day exploring, bring the gang in through the useful porch and leave sandy outdoor gear there, or get it straight in the washing machine in the utility room.

The living room is especially welcoming, with a dual aspect boasting beautiful sea views - sit back in the little bay window and use the binoculars to watch wildlife or spot boats in the bay, or on colder evenings, turn on the electric fire and cosy up in front of the TV. The compact kitchen includes everything you'll need to keep the family fed, and even has a dishwasher to make clearing up a breeze; with a separate dining room with seats for six, dinner can be a part of your precious family time. With two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin, plus a bathroom with a shower and a bath, you'll settle right into this lovely home.

Outside, older kids will love exploring the wraparound garden edged by a burn and livestock fencing, and there's room enough for a game of cricket or football too. Younger kids will need to be supervised, but will love a spot of hill-rolling down the many grassy slopes or a game of hide and seek.
