Head down to Cadgwith Cove (1 mile) and wander along the coast path to the Devil's Frying Pan (a further 500 metres), or visit Lizard Point (4 miles), the most southerly point of mainland Britain.

As you enter the property you're greeted with fresh and bright decor paired with exposed beams and charming farmhouse-style furniture. There's a perfect blend of countryside feel and subtle coastal touches that create a calming and peaceful atmosphere. The open-plan living area is light and airy during the day, but soon gets cosy in the evening when you light the wood burner. Head out to the enclosed garden to sizzle up a BBQ or simply enjoy an al fresco drink before heading up the stairs to bed among tranquil white tones with blues dotted around in the furnishings.

Take a walk from Lizard Point to Kynance Cove (2 miles; 4 miles direct from property) where fantastic cliff rocks and a sandy beach make it the perfect spot for a drink or a picnic. Coverack (8.5 miles) is another wonderful beach, but if you're more green-fingered than sandy-toed you could visit Trebah Garden (16 miles) where exotic plants bloom. There's even a path down to a secluded beach, so you can experience the best of both worlds. And if you want to get on the water, take a boat trip with Orca Sea Safaris (23.5 miles) where you might spot dolphins, seals and basking sharks.
