Wander down to Bideford's pretty quay to dine in one of the cute cafes or perhaps hop on a boat to Lundy Island, which is 10 miles off the coast. This peaceful and unspoilt island is a must for wildlife enthusiasts, who will have the opportunity to spot a whole host of rare seabirds, including puffins. For traditional seaside fun, journey to Westward Ho!, where you'll find a wide expanse of golden sand and fantastic surfing conditions, plus arcades and outdoor activities to keep little ones entertained.
