Alternatively, relax on the water by renting a boat at The Meare, a unique boating lake in nearby Thorpeness (2.5 miles).

RSPB (12 miles) Head up the coast to Southwold, less than 20 miles away to enjoy the sandy beach, walk along the pier or visit to the iconic lighthouse. For a relaxing day, head to Orford Quay and while away the hours along the River Ore by boat or walk around the town and discover the castle, famous smokehouse, and try the local oysters.
