Open the door and stroll into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to make yourself a cup of tea and recline on the deep-seated sofa. Flick through the channels on the Smart TV, programmed with Sky, and find a film to watch with all the family. The designated chef will love the stylish kitchen space, with its fully equipped units and electric oven and hob. Usher your guests around the charming dining table for sociable meals together. Walk upstairs and you’ll discover two bedrooms that make up the well-appointed sleeping arrangements: a pretty king-size room and a double room. Finishing off this beachside base is the family bathroom.

A true hotspot for seaside escapades, Freshwater East is home to both a sandy beach and a 90-acre nature reserve, The Burrows. Venture 200 metres and you’re right on the shore, or perhaps, head further afield to popular Tenby or Barafundle Bay within 8.5 miles. Enjoy the many restaurants, bars and shops in nearby Pembroke (4 miles), or walk in the footsteps of Henry VII at Pembroke Castle. Keen ramblers will adore the rugged Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which can be joined just 0.5 miles from the cottage.
