Flooded by natural light, the lounge is a comfortable space to sit and chat about your day's adventures or unwind with some music or a good book. Alternatively, curl up on the sofa with a film on the TV or if the weather is good, open the French doors and let the outside in. When it's time to eat, you'll find plenty of appliances in the separate kitchen and a neat table with seating for four people. As the day draws to an end, head upstairs to the three bedrooms and choose between a lovely king-size, double, and single bedroom. Furnished in crisp, white tones two of the bedrooms also boast serene garden and river views. Outside, the children can play on the extensive lawn while you unwind in the hot tub, or throw some fresh fish on the BBQ and dine in style on the raised patio.

Pick up the Tarka Trail from your doorstep and explore the River Torridge on foot or bicycle. Alternatively, head into Bideford town (less than 1 mile) and enjoy a wide range of independent shops and restaurants. At the quayside, book a family boat trip out to Lundy Island and spend the day spotting seals and puffins or if you want to feel the sand between your toes, head to Westward Ho! (2 miles). Here you can swim in the sea or try your hand at surfing or kitesurfing.
