Full of warmth and character, this cosy cottage is set on a working farm and looks towards Valentia Island. An open fire will warm you in winter, and there's a BBQ for summertime fun in the garden. It's ideal for families and welcomes pets too, and there's so much to do nearby, from days at the beach to deep-sea fishing.

With a friendly and inviting feel, the property features timber cladding, exposed stone and beams and vivid colours, as well as a roaring open fire to make the lounge feel even more welcoming in winter. Here, there's a variety of seating and a TV, or you may want to spend time relaxing in the kitchen/diner, which also boasts a sofa alongside the dining table. The kitchen itself includes plenty of cupboard space, as well as a microwave and dishwasher for convenience. There's a king-size bedroom on the ground floor, plus a separate bathroom and a utility room with laundry facilities. The other two bedrooms, a double and a twin, are on the first floor, along with a family shower room that has a high step into the shower. The garden includes a lawned area plus a patio with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco entertainment.

Set by Portmagee Channel, the cottage is 2 miles from the village of Portmagee, where you'll find shops and a handful of places to eat, as well as boats to Skellig Michael, where you can climb an ancient stone staircase to see early Christian monastic archaeology. In this spectacular coastal area, you can walk, cycle, fish, scuba dive or even go hang gliding, while the nearest sandy beach is 2.5 miles away. Waterville, 10 miles away, is the only seafront village on the Ring of Kerry and boasts fantastic food, great pubs and world-class golf.
