A delightful kitchen includes a range-style cooker as well as a microwave and dishwasher, while old-fashioned implements hung on the walls set a traditional scene. When you've cooked something tasty, serve it up in the dining room, with its wooden table and chairs, complemented by gingham curtains. Head up the stairs at bedtime and you'll find four delightful bedrooms – a double and three twins, some with sloping ceilings and beams – sharing two bathrooms and a shower room. You can enjoy a picnic on the patio or wander through the partially enclosed garden to find the stream at the bottom.

The cottage is located in the village of Ahakista on the Sheep's Head Peninsula, with its wild terrain, picturesque loughs and fantastic coastal views. The sea is less than 0.25 miles away, while Golden Strand Beach is 2 miles away and the Toreen Turning Point, where you park for the walk to the lighthouse at the tip of the headland, is 10 miles away. The harbour town of Bantry is 12 miles away, offering a wide array of shops and places to eat and drink.
