A seasonal ferry from Back Beach hops over to Shaldon which is a lovely day out, while the larger town of Torquay, which is just 15-minute drive away, is where you'll find the beautiful Cockington Country Park, Torre Abbey and Babbacombe Cliff railway.

A communal gym with weights and a cross-trainer can be found on the ground floor of the Grand Banks building, and there's a separate outdoor area where guests and residents can hang clothes to dry
