Lilac Cottage is situated in the grounds of the beautiful Penrallt Hotel, a short distance from the village of Aberporth, Ceredigion. From the hotel grounds, you have a beautiful view of Aberporth and the local area. After a day on Aberporth beach, relax on the enclosed patio and enjoy a lovely family dinner outside. Aberporth is a charming seaside village home to two beautiful sandy beaches.

A popular holiday destination for a family holiday beside the seaside, the ideal village for sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and exploring rock pools when the tide is low. Take in the stunning views of the Ceredigion coastline from the Coastal Path. Aberporth has a lovely independent gallery, a local shop, a pub, cafes, a chip shop, a pharmacy and a post office. Aberporth often has sightings of bottlenose dolphins that regularly put on a spectacular show and enjoy the company of seals and sea birds living nearby.

A short drive away, you can find yourself in the neighbouring market town of Cardigan. Positioned on the tidal reach of the River Teifi at the point where Ceredigion meets Pembrokeshire. Overlooking the river, the 12th century Cardigan Castle sits, and in summer months, houses many events such as live concerts - fun for the whole family. Wanting to explore the wider area of Ceredigion, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, where you can enjoy a prehistoric day out or enjoy a day at the family-run activity centre, Adventure Beyond, where they can create bespoke adventures to suit you.
