The whole family can enjoy a peaceful stroll down to the foot ferry across to Walberswick (1.5 miles); in the summer, the beach is much quieter than Southwold's. And if you're looking for a fun family day out, meet all sorts of animals at Africa Alive Zoological Reserve (8 miles), including giraffes, rhinos and lions.
