Located just half a mile from the renowned village of Tintagel, celebrated for its rich historical lore entwined with King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Trenale Court finds its tranquil setting in the peaceful rural hamlet of Trenale, approximately one mile from the awe-inspiring cliffs along the North Cornwall Coast.

Situated on one side of a serene country lane, these holiday cottages provide an ideal springboard for exploring the county, whether it be on foot or by car. A plethora of scenic walks awaits in close proximity, including the enchanting coastal footpath and the picturesque Rocky Valley. Tintagel, offering an array of shops, pubs, and restaurants, lies less than a 5-minute drive away or is easily accessible on foot. It is also home to the iconic medieval castle and Merlin’s sea cave.

The appealing National Trust harbour at Boscastle beckons just 2.5 miles away, and a leisure centre complete with a swimming pool awaits in Camelford, a mere 4.5 miles distant. Bossiney Cove, a leisurely 20-minute walk from the cottages, reveals a sandy beach during low tide, while the surfing haven of Trebarwith Strand is a brief 10-minute drive away. Each of the eight cottages possesses its own unique character, yet they share many similar features. This makes them a favoured choice for families and friends looking to vacation together while still enjoying the comforts of independent accommodations.

Accommodation

Resembling its counterpart, The Dove Cot, as if they were sisters, this cottage shares the same origin, having been reclaimed from a two-story stone building. However, it boasts the added advantage of slightly more spacious bedrooms.

Nestled into one corner of the courtyard, a half-glazed front door unveils a delightful living room adorned with exposed beams, a television, a dining area, and comfortable lounge seating arranged before an electric fireplace. In an L-shaped configuration, an efficient galley kitchen resides in one corner, featuring essential appliances such as a fridge, electric hob, oven, and microwave. A fully glazed door opens onto a patio area at the rear, creating an ideal setting for enjoying sundowners while gazing at the sun’s descent over the ocean. Additionally, a gate provides access to the adjoining paddock. On the ground floor, a bathroom with a WC, hand basin, shower over the bath, and heated towel rail completes the amenities.

Carpeted stairs ascend from the living room to the first-floor landing, where two bedrooms beckon, both graced with captivating sea views. These bedrooms offer a double bed and twin beds, respectively. This property is heated using a combination of electric heating and night storage units.

Shared amenities encompass a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer for added convenience.

This collection comprises eight stone cottages that have been thoughtfully converted, harmoniously arranged around a meticulously landscaped courtyard. Each of these cottages enjoys the advantage of having its own private enclosed garden. What’s more, there’s an enticing bonus in the form of a communal recreational paddock, a perfect space for exercising dogs and relishing panoramic sea views and breath-taking sunsets.
