Less than a mile from the beach, this delightful stone barn conversion is set in a peaceful location with panoramic views of National Trust farmland. Situated at the end of a quiet lane on Willowhayne Farm, the property is one of six to be created within the former barn. Its proximity to the coast, shop (less than 1 mile) and pub (0.5 miles), make this the perfect choice for families or a group of friends looking for a relaxing seaside break.

A landscaped gravelled area leads through a porch and stable door into this split-level property. You'll find one of the bedrooms on this floor, with a double bed and a single bed. A half-flight of stairs leads down into the large, open-plan living area. This modern yet homely space features a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. Head back up to entry-level and take a further half-flight of stairs up, and you'll find the double bedroom with wonderful countryside views. Music fans will love this room's integrated sound system for iPod/MP3. The bathroom, with a shower over the bath, is also on this level. Head outside from the lounge to your private, unenclosed patio. A chimenea and BBQ make this the perfect spot for enjoying a little al fresco dining. It leads to a large lawn, which is shared with the other five properties. There is also off-road parking for one car.

Chideock is within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and fantastic for walkers. It's also less than a mile from Seatown beach, a popular fossil-hunting spot, with a fascinating history of smuggling. If you're feeling a little more energetic, from there you can climb the 191 metres (or 627 feet) to the top of Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast of England. The views from the top are terrific!
