Sample the catch of the day fresh from the sea, relax on the sandy beach, or lace up your boots and walk the 0.5-mile route to Dunstanburgh Castle to soak up some history. Further afield, Howick Hall, 3 miles away, is an excellent destination for a day trip, especially if you take the time to spot the resident wildlife en route.
