Tucked into a quiet corner of East Thorne and surrounded by nature, the lodge poises in splendid seclusion, with a gorgeous interior and a private hot tub inviting guests to indulge in days of complete comfort and relaxation. True to the unique styling of these East Thorne lodges, Cynefin has a fantastic circular roof light which floods the living / sleeping area with natural light and gives guests glimpses of whatever shade of mood the sky is in. A large, deeply comfortable king size bed tempts blissful sleep and long morning lie-ins while a sumptuous leather sofa, brass accents and a roll top bath in the gorgeous separate bathroom, add old world luxe and glamour to the space.

Outside there's a private hot tub to sink into after days spent exploring the stunning beaches and coastline of the surrounding area, and for those who prefer time spent a little closer to home, a fabulously designed woven day bed has a curved canopy for shade, so catching up on a good book or a blissful afternoon nap can be enjoyed alfresco.

Set in a peaceful countryside location, East Thorne is encompassed by sprawling nature and rolling hillside, so the perfectly positioned bistro table and chairs create an idyllic vantage point where evening drinks can be savoured, and shared conversation can flow well into the night.

East Thorne offers a host of amazing on-site and shared facilities to complete your glamping experience too:

Tallet Barn: A covered seating area with two large tables seating 12 at each. Hanging heaters, chimineas and a large wood burner keep you warm and dry. A great space for larger groups to gather together. Available on a first come first served basis

Clay pizza oven: Create and cook your own delicious wood-fired pizzas. Simply let the site know ahead of time that you'd like to use the oven during your stay

Fire pit: A huge fire pit in the middle of the site with rustic seating. Perfect for toasting marshmallows, enjoying a sing-along and getting to know people

Animal feeding: Guests will love the paddock on site which has American Pygmy goats, chickens, geese, a very large pig and an assortment of different birds in an aviary. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays the site offers animal feeding which is a great activity for younger members of the family

The Hive: Fresh and frothy coffee, hot chocolates and teas served from a converted horsebox every morning except Mondays and Fridays (April to October). On weekends you can also nab fresh, locally baked pastries like croissants, pain au chocolat, and cinnamon swirls
