In the kitchen you'll find everything needed for stress-free cooking, including a Lavazza coffee machine for that all-important beverage break. Anyone who wants a quiet spot in which to read or listen to music can head for the separate snug with a sofa, and there are two bedrooms: a king-size and a twin, plus a family bathroom. The place to be on sunny days is the garden, accessed via folding doors (and three steps down) from the dining area. While adults grill on the BBQ, children and dogs can run off their energy on the lawn, or if you're feeling competitive there's table tennis set up in the large shed.

This delightful cottage is just half a mile from Crooklets beach, a favourite of families who enjoy the golden sands and fun rock pools, while surfers can catch a wave on pretty much every tide. The shops and eateries of the town centre are a similar distance, while within 5 miles you can reach four further beaches. Walk the coastal path and enjoy stunning views out to the Atlantic or, for a day out, head to the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, 16.5 miles, or the medieval castle at Tintagel, 20 miles.
