Fairfield Cottage has glorious ocean views from the lawn and paddock area it shares with its partner property (Norwegian Lodge) and glimpses of the sea from the front bedrooms. The property is a 10 minute walk down hill to the shops, restaurants and beach of Lyme Regis. Built at the turn of the Century, the property was constructed to take advantage of the coastal views and features a new modern kitchen in 2022. The panorama from the play paddock is truly magnificent and must be rated as one of the best coastal views in the county. This a great choice for a seaside holiday.

Lyme Regis itself is a truly fantastic place. Situated on the magnificent UNESCO Jurassic Coast, it’s known as the pearl of Dorset and upon visiting, it’s easy to see why. A famous spot for fossil hunters worldwide, it also sits on the South West Coast Path and offers a whole host of wonderful hikes and walks nearby. The sheltered south-facing beaches are safe for both children and water sport enthusiasts, with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour. It has a fantastic food and music scene and is often used as a prime filming location. There are also vast amounts of festivals and events happening in the town throughout the year. Some of the bigger ones include the jazz and folk festivals, Food Rocks, Regatta & Carnival Week, Guitars on The Beach, and Lifeboat Week which offers a week of fun, games, music and displays for all the family. Of course, there are also loads of smaller events happening as well! The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre, a short drive away provides a wealth of information about local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting.
