The ancient town of Bideford (5 miles) offers parks, galleries, shops and restaurants – and access to The Oldenburg ferry which sails out to the spectacular Lundy Island, with its puffins, seals and other wildlife on show. Westward Ho! (5 miles) with its long sandy beach, Atlantic surf and seafront with lively amusements provides enjoyment for everyone. Golfers might like to play a round at The Royal North Devon Golf Club (5 miles), an historic course that stretches across Northam Burrows Country Park. The BIG Sheep (3 miles) and The Milky Way Adventure Park (6 miles) also offer family fun days out.
