Head down to the centre of Polruan for pubs and cafes just over 300 metres from the property or take the ferry from The Quay over to Fowey to wander the wider selection of shops and eateries. Visit Fowey Aquarium, great for adults and children, before a walk along the South West Coast Path to Readymoney Cove and St Catherine’s Castle. For a longer day out, you’re only 16 miles in the car from the must-see Eden Project or 18 miles from the National Trust’s Lanhydrock House.
