Location and Area

Located just half a mile from the charming village of Tintagel, renowned for its rich historical legends centered around King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Trenale Court is nestled in the tranquil rural hamlet of Trenale, approximately one mile from the dramatic cliffs along the North Cornwall Coast. This complex comprises eight thoughtfully converted stone cottages arranged around a beautifully landscaped courtyard. Each cottage boasts its own enclosed small garden, and there’s an added bonus of a shared recreational paddock, perfect for exercising dogs while revelling in panoramic sea vistas and breath-taking sunsets.

Situated on one side of a peaceful country lane, these holiday cottages provide an ideal launching pad for exploring Cornwall, whether on foot or by car. An array of scenic walks lies within close proximity, including the enchanting coastal footpath and the stunning Rocky Valley. Tintagel, with its array of shops, pubs, and restaurants, can be reached in less than a 5-minute drive or a pleasant stroll and is home to the renowned medieval castle and Merlin’s sea cave.

The charming National Trust harbour at Boscastle is just 2.5 miles away, and a leisure centre with a swimming pool awaits in Camelford, 4.5 miles distant. Bossiney Cove, a leisurely 20-minute walk away, reveals a sandy beach at low tide, while the surfing haven of Trebarwith Strand is a mere 10-minute drive.

Each of the eight cottages possesses its own unique character, yet they share many similar features. This makes them a favoured choice for families and friends looking to vacation together while still enjoying the comforts of individual accommodations.

Accommodation

Boasting delightful sea vistas from its garden, this former granary has undergone a transformation into a generously proportioned split-level family cottage, nestled discreetly to one side of the entrance to Trenale Court.

An added convenience lies in the provision of two parking spaces conveniently situated adjacent to the property within the corner of the well-tended courtyard. The front door, accessed via a single step, welcomes you into a practical entrance porch. Beyond the fully glazed inner door lies a charming dining room adorned with exposed beams, artfully separated by open studwork from a fitted kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with modern conveniences, including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric hob, oven, and microwave. Rounding off the ground floor amenities is a bathroom featuring a WC, hand basin, a shower over the bath, and a heated towel rail.

A brief ascent up a carpeted staircase leads to a half landing where three bedrooms await, each offering different sleeping arrangements: a double bed, zip-link twin beds, and 3ft pine bunk beds. Further stairs ascend to a gallery-style sitting room, characterized by its television, exposed beams reaching up to the apex of the roof, and some tastefully exposed stonework. Comfortable seating is thoughtfully arranged before an electric fire. In one corner of the lounge, three slate steps gracefully descend to French windows that open onto a grassy enclosed garden, affording captivating views over the surrounding farmland to the sea. A gate in the garden provides access to the pathway leading to the shared recreational paddock.

The property is efficiently heated through electric heating. Shared amenities include a laundry room furnished with a washing machine and tumble dryer for added convenience.
