Gather friends or family for a fresh-air-filled break at this fabulous Dingle Peninsula bungalow. With beautiful Inch Beach less than half a mile away and a fully enclosed garden where children and their four-pawed pal can play, it's a great base for a group getaway. Enjoy together-time in a choice of social spaces then retire to four blissful bedrooms, two of them with en-suite facilities.

Set back from the coastal road that edges Castlemaine Harbour, this handsome holiday home has plenty of kerb appeal. Step through the front door and there's lots to admire inside too – large and traditionally styled, the bungalow has a real home-from-home feel throughout. Wooden flooring and a striking feature fireplace set the scene for companionable down-time in the lounge; set the open fire alight and you'll be snoozing on a sofa in seconds. There's a similarly inviting seating area in the kitchen/diner – a lovely spot for chats while the chef gets to work – all the must-haves for a hassle-free self-catering stay are provided, with laundry facilities in the nearby utility room. When it's time to turn in for the night, choose from four slumber-inducing bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room and walk-in wardrobe, two doubles, and a twin with an en-suite shower room. A family bathroom is conveniently close by. For a breath of fresh sea air, step out into the fully enclosed garden, which has a large lawn separated from the house by a patio. Garden furniture is provided – enjoy al fresco meals with a side-serving of coastal scenery.

Just 600m away, the sands and dunes of Inch Beach stretch for around 4 miles and are ideal for all-weather walks and water sports. Head 12.5 miles east and Castlemaine is a gateway to both the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Visit for a choice of welcoming pubs, restaurants and shops, or head 14 miles west to the pretty fishing port of Dingle for locally sourced seafood, historic inns and boat trips into the bay and the Blasket Islands beyond. For an alternative fresh-air experience, get off the beaten track and visit Glanteenassig Forest Park (15 miles) where there's over 450 hectares of woodland, mountain, lake and peatland to explore.
