Catch the small seasonal ferry from Nigg across the bay to Cromarty. Sample a wee dram at the Glenmorangie Distillery in nearby Tain (11.5 miles), or further north, the town of Dornoch offers a variety of cafes, gift shops and a must-visit beach.
