Lymington is a popular Georgian coastal town, with a cobbled quay leading down to the water's edge, where fishing boats unload their daily catch. The weekly ancient charter market lines the High Street every Saturday and is well worth a visit. The New Forest National Park is just a couple of miles away, with endless tracks to explore by foot, bicycle or on horseback. The local beaches of Milford on Sea and Barton on Sea are within a 10-minute drive, or for a change of scenery, take the ferry from Lymington Pier across the Solent for a day trip to the Isle of Wight.
