Cornwall is known for its sandy beaches and you'll be spoilt for choice here, with Porthpean, Charlestown and Pentewan all within 4 miles. If you're keen walkers, they are all connected by the South West Coast Path, which offers another perspective of the stunning rugged coastline. Heading east, the popular harbour town of Fowey (10 miles) has a range of shops and eateries on offer, as does Mevagissey (5.5 miles) to the south. For an interesting day out amongst beautiful surroundings, why not visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan (6 miles) or the Eden Project (6 miles).
